Project background

Melbourne agency underwent a significant rebranding initiated by its owner, aiming to elevate their digital service offerings. After auditing their previous website, it was evident the site lacked distinct brand personality. Additionally, using a marketplace template restricted their uniqueness. Thus, we recommended a fully customized redesign to better reflect the brand’s unique character and strengthen market positioning.

Client’s feedback

The team of Dhiren have been able to successfully executed the exact concept that I had plan for this project. We appreciated the extra effort that the team had to do to deliver on time.

The challenge

The client was particularly fond of a textured wall from his office and wanted to integrate it into the website’s hero section. Initially, translating this texture digitally proved challenging as early wireframes didn’t capture its essence or reflect the brand’s personality.

We experimented extensively in Photoshop, proposing creative concepts with storytelling elements. Ultimately, we leveraged this texture as a symbolic backdrop for the hero section, creating a conversational atmosphere that mirrors interactions between the client and their prospective customers.

User Experience Journey

Our primary goal was to create an intuitive and streamlined user experience. Recognizing that the homepage serves as the primary gateway for various user journeys, we strategically structured it to effortlessly direct visitors towards Melbourne’s diverse services.

Rather than isolating each service into separate pages, as initially requested by the client, we proposed integrating all services directly onto the homepage. This approach simplifies navigation, improves readability, and boosts user engagement leading to higher conversion rates.

Key Requirements

A key requirement from the client was to visually distinguish each of their six service offerings through unique elements that align with the brand’s identity. We chose to focus on the ‘3D design’ service as a central theme, creating distinct 3D shapes for each service.

Colors were selected according to clear guidelines, inspired directly by the wall texture, to ensure cohesive branding across all visual elements. We thoroughly tested and validated these designs with Melbourne’s stakeholders, clearly communicating our rationale and demonstrating how the new visual identity aligns with their marketing strategy.

Process

We used Figma for all design work, and FigJam or Miro for brainstorming sessions and ideation. Weekly calls were scheduled to align on goals, share progress, and address any challenges or open questions.
